We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Behaviour Mentor to join our SEND School in Tower Hamlets. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with challenging behaviours and helping them to overcome barriers to their learning. You will work closely with students, teachers, and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic and personal growth.
The role
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with challenging behaviours
- Collaborate with teachers to develop individualised behaviour plans
- Monitor and record student behaviour and progress
- Facilitate group sessions to teach essential life skills
- Collaborate with external agencies for additional support
- Stay updated on best practices in behaviour management
Qualifications:
- Experience in working with students with SEMH Needs
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of special educational needs
- Ability to work effectively in a team
